Inaugural CGX DIII Top100 Exposure Camps Coming to Mission Resort + Club in 2024

12 Top Coaches Join 72 Juniors Outside Orlando at Mission Resort +  Club in February

College Golf Experience (CGX), the leading junior golf company connecting juniors and parents with college coaches, announces its first-ever DIII Top100 Girls and DIII Top100 Boys’ Exposure Camps, presented by Adidas Golf, which will be held at Mission Resort + Club outside of Orlando, FL on February 3-4, 2024.

The girls’ and boys’ Top100 DIII Exposure Camps are now open for registration and will feature 12 top coaches (six men and six women) connecting with 72 juniors ages 13-18 who want to level up their game and build relationships in an immersive educational environment.

“So much of the value in these camps lies in the personal interaction that we get with the players. That time with each other opens the lines of communication that may not be there otherwise,” said Carnegie Mellon University Men’s and Women’s Head Golf Coach Dan Rodgers. “Also, getting to see who players really are, from a goals and personality standpoint, and them seeing who we really are, helps us be open with them about their journey to finding their fit in college golf. There are so many opportunities out there that are going unnoticed. For players of all levels, if you want to play college golf, there is a place that you can play.”

Confirmed Head Coaches from Prestigious NCAA DIII Golf Programs for the upcoming Top100 Exposure Camps:

They will experience comprehensive education sessions led by the marquee coaches on college golf and the recruiting pathway, on-course management and strategy during simulated college golf practice and tournament rounds, a college golf practice session, as well as real-time evaluation and personalized feedback from coaches to help each junior discover how to find the right collegiate program fit. Players will also be outfitted by Adidas Golf each day of the camp, similar to what college golfers experience playing on their teams.

“Part of our vision from the beginning has been to connect top coaches across DI, DII, and DIII schools with junior golfers and parents to help navigate the challenging pathway of playing college golf at top-ranked programs,” says CGX Founder and CEO Joshua Jacobs. “We want all junior golfers to recognize that regardless of what collegiate Division they play in, there is always a right fit to help guide them. Bringing them and their parents together with coaches creates the vital connective tissue between junior golf and college golf.

College Golf Experience

College Golf Experience (CGX) was established in 2021 with a first-of-its-kind endorsement from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Through strategic partnerships with the top college golf coaches and institutions from across the country, CGX camps educate junior golfers and their parents on everything college golf and the recruiting process, improve players’ games, and help juniors discover how to find the right collegiate program fit. CGX offers three distinct camp categories: Exposure, Preview, and Elite. Exposure Camps show juniors where to start the process of finding your fit in college golf. Preview Camps are held prior to Junior Golf Tournaments to level up a player’s game in tournaments and raise their ranking, and Elite Camps are one-on-one with a single college program’s coach to see if that is your fit and your spot in college golf. The curriculum was created in tandem with the GCAA and its member coaches. CGX was founded by golf industry leader Joshua Jacobs, also the founder and former CEO of TGA Premier Golf, a leading provider of introductory and recreational-based junior golf programs. Mission Resort + Club

Located in the town of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, Mission Resort + Club is just a 35-minute drive northwest of Orlando or an 80-minute drive northeast of Tampa and is home to two championship golf courses. El Campeón (The Champion) layout, built in 1917 by George O’Neil, is one of the oldest courses in the South with a classic design featuring unusually sharp elevation changes in the typically flat central Florida terrain. It plays host to multiple professional, college, and youth tournaments.

Las Colinas (The Hills) was created in 1992 by former PGA Tour winner Gary Koch, and it lives up to its name with wide fairways rolling over gentle rises. Both courses feature undulating greens surrounded by tropical vegetation and incorporate large water hazards on many holes.

Mission Resort + Club features fine dining with four restaurants, two lounges, and a poolside bar. The property also offers racquet sports, jogging and cycling trails, volleyball courts, an outdoor pool, a spa, a fitness center, and a marina equipped with kayaks, pontoon and bass boats for eco-touring. More than 30,000 square feet of well-appointed indoor and outdoor event space is available for meetings, banquets, holiday parties, weddings, and special occasions.
