LIV Golf Made for Doral’s Blue Monster

by | Mar 20, 2025 | News

With a larger-than-life course (the Blue Monster) and the storied golf history of host Trump National Doral Miami, there’s no better setting for the LIV Golf League’s 2025 South Florida debut. The League’s 13 four-player teams, April 4-6, will tee it up on the legendary Blue Monster, originally designed by Dick Wilson more than 60 years ago and renovated in 2013 by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner.

The teams competing in LIV Golf Miami feature a collective 14 major champions and 28 major championships. They are led by many of the biggest stars in the game, including the 2024 LIV Golf Individual Champion, Jon Rahm (Legion XIII); the 2024 Team Champion and Ripper GC captain Cameron Smith; Bryson DeChambeau (Crushers GC); Brooks Koepka (Smash GC); Phil Mickelson (HyFlyers GC); Dustin Johnson (4Aces GC); Sergio Garcia (Fireballs GC); and Joaquin Niemann (Torque GC).

The Blue Monster, by the way, is named after its blue tees and not its water hazards. This year continues the course’s record run of hosting a professional golf event each year since 1962.

Bubba Watson

“Playing in Miami, there’s a lot of culture down there, and a lot of professional sports down there,’’ Watson said. “Bringing golf back there… It’s fun. The Blue Monster has always been a part of golf, and LIV is taking over and making that part of our league.”

Tickets are available at LIVGolf.com, including single-day grounds passes, three-day grounds passes, and golf’s first 360-degree Grounds Plus Pass, which provides exclusive, elevated viewing platforms on the Blue Monster’s biggest holes.

For fans looking to take their experience to the next level, tickets to LIV Golf’s one-of-a-kind hospitality offerings are also available at the event’s signature experience of Club 54; the Birdie Shack; and The Fanstand, with each delivering an array of amenities.

LIV Golf Premium Passes and Special Tickets

Fans can also secure one of the select LIV Premium passes, an all-access ticket to all hospitality areas throughout the course. Click here for tickets and more information.

Special ticket offers for LIV Golf Miami are available for select groups. Here’s a look:

  • Complimentary Youth Tickets: Offering complimentary access for the next generation of golf fans, youths 12 years old and under will be granted free entrance at the gate when accompanied by an adult who occupies a ticket for the selected day.
  • 25% Off for College and University Students: Discounted ground passes are available for college and university students. Students can receive a 25% discount on single-day grounds passes.
  • 25% off for Teachers: As a special thank you to teachers, LIV Golf is proud to offer 25% off single-day grounds passes for all teachers.
  • 25% off for First Responders: LIV Golf is pleased to offer first responders who serve our communities 25% off single-day grounds passes.

South African Dean Bermester won the 2024 LIV Golf Miami event in a two-hole playoff against Garcia. Rahm’s Legion XIII won the Team Championship.

“Miami is always fun, and we always enjoy playing there,’’ said Garcia, who won LIV Golf Hong Kong earlier this month.  “Every tournament is important. Hopefully, we keep the momentum going like we have been. Obviously, I had a nice week there last year, and it would be nice to play well there again and give myself another shot at it.”
