The Hoffmann Family of Companies has joined forces with internationally acclaimed golf course architect Kyle Phillips to create Pandion Club, a new golf-only private club in Southwest Florida. The course will be built on the site of the former Old Corkscrew Golf Club, promising a transformative experience for passionate golfers.
Hoffmann’s Legacy in Florida’s Golf and Business Scene
Renowned for their ownership of the prestigious Old Collier Golf Club in Naples, the Florida Everblades hockey franchise, and over two dozen local businesses, the Hoffmanns acquired Old Corkscrew in 2022. Their vision: to develop a course that embodies the spirit and elegance of Pandion.
A Club Built Around Pure Golf Passion

Inspired by Nature and Tradition
The name Pandion pays homage to the osprey—Pandion haliaetus—a majestic bird of prey frequently seen soaring above Florida’s coastlines and estuaries. The club’s design will reflect the region’s natural beauty and terrain.
A Heathland-Style Masterpiece in the Making
Kyle Phillips plans to craft a course inspired by the classic heathland style, drawing from the works of English Golden Age designers Harry S. Colt and Tom Simpson. The layout is projected to span approximately 7,220 yards with a tentative par of 71.
“Working with the Hoffmanns on the design of Pandion is a unique honor,” said Phillips. “Our aspiration is to highlight the architectural mastery of Colt and Simpson while utilizing the sand-based natural features of the land so that pure golf is on display.”
Pandion Club Features and Member Experience
Pandion Club will be a golf-only sanctuary with a limited membership of 280 individuals. The clubhouse will feature a low-country-style house, complemented by a comprehensive practice range, teaching facilities, short-game areas, and putting greens.
