Stephen Miles awarded the Outstanding Turf Professional Award for 2022
Stephen Miles, Director of Operations at The Preserve Golf Club, was awarded the Outstanding Turf Professional Award for 2022 by the Mississippi Turfgrass Association (MTA.). Alan Sullivan, MTA President, presented the award to Stephen for his outstanding leadership in the industry.
Miles and his Golf Course Superintendent, Jeremy Stephens, supported by the entire grounds staff at The Preserve Golf Club, ensure the course is always kept in immaculate condition. Stephen Miles, a certified golf course superintendent, graduated from Mississippi State University’s Golf & Sports Turf Management Program (Hail State!) in 1998. He served as President of the MTA in 2009, in addition to serving on the board and numerous committees of MTA. Miles has long been dedicated to the turf industry and MTA and was instrumental in establishing Best Management Practices in Mississippi.
