Most successful companies have several things in common, but here’s one of the more important: Own Who You Are.
That’s what’s happening at Glynlea Country Club in Port St. Lucie, FL. The centerpiece of GreenPointe Holdings’ Wylder master-planned golf community in St. Lucie County. Glynlea is PGA Tour star Jim Furyk’s first design. Not only has the two-time Ryder Cup Captain (2018, 2027) made it a good one, he’s made it playable for members, guests, currently the public. Glynlea is a solid test of golf – 6,630 yards (par 72) from the tips with three sets of hybrid tees – that’s not tricked out or pretentious.
“Golf courses have always been built for championship level play – where it’s just penal everywhere,’’ said JT Symons, general manager at Glynlea CC, which is managed by Hampton Golf. “Every great player hits it down the middle and then straight at the pin.
“At Glynlea, you’re not overly penalized. There are no goofy holes. If you hit a bad shot, you have a chance to recover. It’s all right there in front of you.’’
Glynlea recently unveiled its new Ravenna II homes, each featuring a modern elevation and a sophisticated blend of clean architecture with layered textures and organic materials.

The Ravenna II model highlights the spacious, flexible home designs available from Dream Finders Homes. Offering more than 3,100 square feet of living space, the two-story plan features four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, open gathering spaces and versatile room design.
In addition, Dream Finders Homes is offering its exclusive Designer Series collection of floor plans at Glynlea, with many homesites overlooking Furyk’s inaugural signature course. Buyers choose from four one- and two-story floor plans ranging from approximately 1,900 to more than 3,000 square feet. Dream Finders Homes’ plans start in the $500s.
“The opening of the Ravenna II model home is an exciting addition to Glynlea Country Club,” said Austin Burr, regional president, South Florida Region, GreenPointe Holdings. “With each new milestone, the vision for the community becomes more tangible, giving prospective buyers the opportunity to experience firsthand the homes, golf and lifestyle that define Glynlea.”
Glynlea Country Club, Burr said, offers homebuyers a variety of opportunities to experience a new generation of country club living, with new homes by Dream Finders Homes, Lennar and Perry Homes priced from the $400s to more than $1 million. Six furnished model homes are open daily.
And just as there are different home models for different tastes, the golf course, which features wide fairways and large greens, lends itself to players of different abilities and skill sets.
“You could be the player who takes out a lob wedge and flops the ball because tight lies don’t bother you,’’ Symons said. “Or you could take a 6-iron and hit a bump and run. You’re able to recover and still be challenged.
“We’ve created an experience where residents have their experiences and golfers have their experiences. The way the property is so intelligently designed from a developer’s – and a course designer’s standpoint – is that you have a separation of golfer and resident. Being so properly designed with each in mind is a reason why this is such a great opportunity.’’
