Sea Trail

Sea Trail’s three golf courses – William Byrd Course, Rees Jones Course, and the Dan Maples Course – are well-designed, fair, fun, and player friendly.  Very few golf destinations are like Sea Trail, which have three top-notch 18-hole courses in one location.  Locals simply refer to the three courses as the Bryd, Jones, and the Maples.

Sky Valley Country Club

Do you want to experience a natural ‘high’ while also being ‘cool?’  Well, then grab your golf clubs and head for the Sky Valley Country Club in Sky Valley, Georgia. Because of its mountainous terrain, Sky Valley is a community with the highest elevation in Georgia while also having the coolest temperatures in the state, which is refreshing in the summer.

The Shoals: Alabama’s Awesome and Alluring RTJ Attraction

The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals is home to two 18-hole championship courses and sits high above Wilson Lake on the Tennessee River. While each RTJ Golf Trail venue is wonderfully designed and a thrill to play, there’s something about The Shoals which puts it in a class by itself.

4 of Central Alabama’s Best Golf Courses

On your next golf excursion, visit central Alabama.  There, you will be spoiled for choice when it comes to places to play.  The focal point of your trip should be the Robert Trent Jones (RTJ) Golf Trail, specifically the layouts outside Birmingham (Oxmoor Valley:  home of Ridge and Valley), in Hoover (Ross Bridge: home of Ross Bridge), near Montgomery (Capitol Hill: home of Senator, Legislator, and Judge), and in Opelika (Grand National: home of Links and Lake).
