ECCO Golf: Innovative Shoes That Stay Dry and Comfortable

by | Feb 23, 2026 | Equipment and Apparel

Many golf shoe brands showcased their newest products at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando to start the season, and ECCO’s new lines really stood out.

This year, new Biom C5 and Street Vibe models are leading the way.

Englishman Aaron Rai has been wearing the brand since his late teenage years, back when the PGA Tour player had to spend his own hard-earned money on golf shoes.

I think I paid for them until I was 25 or 26 years old, so that says a lot about what I think about ECCO,” Rai said following the pro-am at this week’s Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. “I actually started wearing the brand when I was 19, and they’ve been my choice for going on 12 years now.”

To hear Todd Davidson, Director of North American Sales, say it, “Both represent the next evolution in ECCO’s commitment to redefining comfort and performance through design and innovation.”

His perspective is credible because Davidson has been with ECCO Golf for most of its 21-year history.

ECCO golf shoes offer durable, versatile performance and exceptional comfort both on and off the course.

The premium quality and durable, glue-free construction, using their trademark Fludiform technology, continue to make them a popular choice among golfers. Instead of glue or stitching, the sole and upper part of the shoe are bonded with an injection of polyurethane, creating a flexible, lightweight, and watertight seal.

“The number of times you play in damp conditions and wet courses where it’s easy for your feet to get wet inside, waterproofing of the shoe is just as important as the breathability,” Rai added. “In all the years I’ve been wearing them, and I’ve worn them in all sorts of conditions, and there’s never been an issue with them.”

Rai, currently No. 32 in the Official World Golf Rankings, has since become part of an elite pro staff that wears ECCO shoes during competitions, including his 2024 Wyndham Championship victory.  Other brand ambassadors include Lydia Ko, Thorbjørn Olesen, Thomas Bjørn, Erik van Rooyen, Lin Xiyu, and Freddy Schott.

ECCO BIOM C5

The Biom C5 expands on ECCO’s Biom Natural Motion platform with a fuller, more anatomical feel, offering support that mirrors the foot’s natural shape, enhanced stability through the swing, and a smooth, unrestricted range of motion. Its upper blends premium performance leather with lightweight engineered mesh, creating a balance of structure, flexibility, and long-lasting comfort. Breathability and weather protection come from 100% waterproof GORE‑TEX Surround, which allows air to circulate around the foot while sealing out moisture from every angle, keeping the shoe dry and comfortable in all conditions.

ECCO STREET VIBE

The Street Vibe combines stylish comfort and has passed a tough test on a walking course. It features a spikeless hybrid design suitable for both on and off the links, with multi-directional traction, lightweight comfort, and versatility. Its waterproof construction performed very well on wet grass.

“Street Vibe is made for golfers who want to transition smoothly from the course to evening plans”, according to Davidson. This model comes in men’s and women’s lace- up and slip-on styles.

“With BIOM C5 and Street Vibe leading the way, we’ve created a range that delivers on every level – from all-weather athletic performance to modern lifestyle versatility. It’s a collection that speaks to golfers who expect style, comfort, and innovation in equal measure,” added Timo Vollrath, Head of Global Marketing at ECCO GOLF. “Our newest collection showcases the balance between performance innovation and the Scandinavian design that defines the ECCO Golf brand.

We also slipped into a pair of the new ECCO S-Casual, which features a breathable, waterproof leather upper from ECCO’s own tanneries—a winning combination with excellent traction. Our feet stayed dry and comfortable during some wet morning conditions.

Both the Street Vibe and S-Casual are made with 100% waterproof ECCO-TEX membrane.

Founded in Denmark in 1963, ECCO remains family-owned and employs over 20,000 people worldwide. The company says its products are sold in 88 countries through more than 2,000 ECCO stores, over 14,000 additional points of sale, and online.
