Michael Breed Joins SuperStroke as Brand Ambassador

by | Feb 7, 2025 | Pro Shop

I enjoy his teaching insights on Sirius XM PGA TOUR Radio, so it was no surprise that highly regarded golf instructor Michael Breed has signed on with SuperStroke to illustrate the benefits of their oversized grips.

It wasn’t that long ago when we all used the same putter grips, but SuperStroke changed everything soon after their initial product launch in 2009.

“SuperStroke is at the forefront in the industry when it comes to golf grip and putter grip innovations, and I couldn’t think of a better, more respected partner to collaborate with to help golfers improve their games,” Breed said. “Their extensive variety of grip styles and sizes have actual game improvement benefits that will help golfers putt and swing more naturally as they learn to use their equipment and SuperStroke’s purpose-designed grips to their best advantage.”

Michael Breed: Golf Digest Top Instructor

Michael Breed

Michael Breed hosts “A New Breed of Golf” on Sirius XM PGA Tour Radio weekday mornings from 8-10 AM EST and “The Best of A New Breed of Golf” weekend mornings from 9-10 EST.

Golf Digest ranks Breed as the top instructor in New York and No. 16 in America. Golf Magazine lists him among America’s Top 100 Instructors, and the PGA of America named him the National Teacher of the Year in 2012. He has also worked with over 30 Touring Pros and nearly 100 PGA of America Professionals. His players have won events on the PGA TOUR, Web.com Tour (formerly the Nationwide Tour), LPGA, and mini-tours.

SuperStroke says Breed will bring expert insight and a creative touch to illustrate the benefits of SuperStroke products in his online, satellite radio, and television presentations, in addition to popular golf tips and lessons. With Super Stroke’s growing line of putter and new array of REVL golf club grips coming in Spring 2025, Breed will have his work cut out.

Ambassadors Abound

SuperStroke’s team of ambassadors includes three-time major champion Jordan Spieth, eight-time PGA TOUR winner Patrick Cantlay, 2019 PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year Sungjae Im, and world-renowned putting coach Phil Kenyon. In addition to the company’s beloved putter grips, SuperStroke offers a full lineup of club grips, allowing golfers to experience the benefits in every shot.

Sports and Marvel Super Hero Grips Now Available with More Coming Soon

In addition to custom grips, SuperStroke offers a full range of officially licensed products to help golfers show their team spirit on the course. These include putter and club grips from major college, National Football League, and National Hockey League teams.

Venom Putter Grip, inspired by Marvel’s iconic anti-hero, features bold design and unmatched performance

They also recently introduced another putter grip collaboration inspired by Marvel’s Venom. This grip joins a selection of other Superhero varieties inspired by Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Deadpool, and Wolverine. The newest grip features Venom’s signature suit colors: black and icy blue. This new Venom Zenergy Tour 2.0 grip comes with a full-color matching ball marker.

“When we launched SuperStroke’s Marvel Super Heroes putter grip line last June, we had no idea how golfers would react. The response to this collaboration has been tremendous, and we’re thrilled to bring this terrific-looking Venom grip to Marvel fans everywhere,” says SuperStroke CEO Dean Dingman. “These grips continue to be a fantastic way to personalize your equipment by sporting your favorite Marvel characters.”

Later this year, Superstroke will introduce other action heroes, including Black Panther, Thor, and Spider-Man: Mike Morales.

The Tour 2.0 putter grip embraces SuperStroke’s classic and popular putter grip line. Most weeks, I receive an advisory that another PGA TOUR player won with a SuperStroke grip in hand.

SuperStroke’s breakthrough Zenergy line features many of the preferred putter grips on golf’s major tours, helping players earn more than $500 million in winnings. The grips, which feature new SpyneTM Technology, feature an improved, embossed ridge along the grip’s underside and strategically placed texture in high-sensory areas. These features are credited with delivering control, responsiveness, and perhaps some added confidence, which comes in handy on the green.
