Steve “Spike” Pike is a lifelong journalist whose career covers Major League Baseball, the NFL, and college basketball. Will Zalatoris is back “home’’ this week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando. Actually, Zalatoris was born in San Francisco and plays out of Dallas, but as the recipient of the 2024-15 Arnold Palmer Scholarship to Wake Forest – Palmer’s alma mater – he’s sort of a member of the King’s extended family.
